Different meanings of 'retrieve' in django from horizon-stable-wallaby?

Hello, my name is Julie Dronova, I do Russian translations. I have a question regarding possible different meanings of the verb 'retrieve' in horizon's django. Firstly, we have these types of phrases: "Unable to retrieve image format list." "Unable to retrieve volume backup details." "Unable to retrieve hypervisor information." etc in which we have a clear indication of retrieving an information, data. And then we have these types of messages: Unable to retrieve volume backups. Unable to retrieve floating IP pools. Unable to retrieve availability zones. My question is: do these 2nd types of messages also mean 'retrieving of data, info' or do they mean something different? Since in Russian we would need to use two different verbs here. If this is a wrong type of mailing list to ask such questions, kindly direct me to more appropriate one (devs mailing list?). Stop translating non-UI projects for stable branches?

Looking at the work to branch a new release and the amount of translation done on stable branches for the non-ui projects (ceilometer, cinder, nova etc), I propose to translate them *only* on master. So, we would continue to translate on master and stable horizon and friends - and that's all. If there's a specific project that needs translation, we can change that one for sure. This reflects IMHO how translators translate today. [I18n] I18n team now becomes SIG (Special Interested Group) + call for volunteers

Hello, This is to announce that OpenStack Technical Committee finally approved https://review.opendev.org/#/c/721605/ patch which means that I18n team now becomes a SIG (Special Interested Group) team. Note that I18n team stayed as an official team for about recent five years [1], which were really great to deeply involve in reflecting translation artifacts for better internationalization world by tightly interacting with other official teams. Now I feel that lots of detail processes and guidelines are well-defined and now very stable. There can be many next actions, but first of all, I would like to vitalize more communications by calling for volunteers to co-work with this I18n SIG. Feel free to reach me (e.g., e-mail, IRC) if you would like to work together or if you think that your language team seems silent, please also ping me so that I wanna move forward by communicating existing language coordinators or nominating new language coordinators. Ussuri translations started, stopping Stein translations

I've started to create ussuri branches in translate.openstack.org and will at the some time make stein read-only. I'll start with the dashboard projects - and then take continue later tonight or over the weekend with others. Any admin around that wants to help? Please speak up and go ahead. Keep in mind to use the UI to copy all translations. Ian, The i18n-specs repo was created 2016 and never used for anything, I propose to abandon it. [I18n][PTL][election] Nominations were over - no PTL candidacy

Hello, I would like to share with I18n team members + OpenStackers who are interested in I18n that there were no PTL nominations for upcoming Victoria release cycle. I am still serving as an appointed PTL since I cannot run for I18n PTL as an election official, but also I honestly tell that my contribution has been decreased due to my personal life (my baby was born ~50 days ago - so busy but really happy as a father). TC started to discuss on leaderless projects [1], and seems that a candidate to become to SIG [2] is being discussed as Docs team previously moved to Technical Writing SIG. I would like to kindly ask opinions from I18n team - unless there are no other strong opinions, I will support to become SIG and try to move forward for next possible steps.
