Changing Japanese coordinator

Hello I18n team, I'm happy to announce new Japanese coordinator Yuko Katabami san, who has been one of the most active Japanese translators for a few years. Also, for personal reasons, I don't have enough time to contribute OpenStack I18n team recently. Therefore, I think it is time to step down from I18n core member. I hope all you are doing well. [I18n] Team meeting today

Good morning, I know, I forgot to sent out the meeting reminder, but at the end it's only a reminder for our regular team meeting weekly. Schedules and a link to an ics file can you found at [1]. Due the fact we had very few participants today I would like to share some information here: 1. Zanata-Upgrade. We've got the initial merge in puppet-zanata (thx to the infra-team) and at the moment I test again the upgrade procedure. 2. Restore Mitaka documentation by the docs-team. It's done. Now we're missing some language specific landing pages, i.e. [2]. We can discuss how to handle this in general. Or feel free to start a proposal. 3. PTG is coming! Next Project Teams Gathering will held in Dublin, Ireland. In February 2018. Please share your ideas on [3]. As ususaly we will together with the docs-team, so at the end we have one merged agenda. Could you disable django_openstack_auth *master* version?

Hi OpenStack Zanata admin, Could you disable django_openstack_auth *master* version? During the Queens development cycle, horizon team merges django_openstack_auth code into the main horizon tree. This means the master branch of django_openstack_auth will not be used for development anymore. Note that this request only applies to the master version in Zanata. The stable branches (stable/pike and stable/ocata) are still used for maintenance. In addition, I also suggest to drop django_openstack_auth from "Queens dashboard translation" group. New Language Team for Esperanto

Hi, is it possible to start a new language team for Esperanto, language code "eo" (ISO639-1) I would like to contribute, but cannot see Esperanto yet in the list of languages on Zanata. So could you pls add Esperanto as language for openstack project translations ? [I18n] Language landing pages with draft translated documents

Hello, As you already know, https://docs.openstack.org/ also has multiple language landing pages :) Previously, there were http://docs.openstack.org/draft/draft-index.html page which contains the links of both draft documents and draft translated document. Since the page does not exist anymore, I would like to suggest a new policy for language landing pages: - Language landing pages can have draft translated documents with the agreement of I18n team PTL, Docs/I18n team core reviewers, language coordinators or active language team translators. The patch https://review.openstack.org/#/c/520997/ reflects this new policy with syncing current translation ratio including translated release notes and translated user survey link. The patch is currently WIP because I do not know many other languages - I would like to kindly ask language teams to tell translated strings to complete the patch :) Also I especially appreciate Indonesian and Turkish language team whose documentation translation ratio is very high! [I18n] survey about translation of project repo documentation

Dear all, hopefully you had a nice Summit and you're safe at home or on the way again. During the week the I18n team was thinking about documentation translating in project repos. The doc migration is almost done and now it's a good time to start. But there are a lot's of projects and the state of things is different. To get an impression how important this topic is and which projects are interested We've create a survey to figure it out [1]. OpenStack Summit Sydney Recap

Hello, unfortunatelly you have overseen my switch of the meeting time today or you're still in traveling or jetlag and couldn't attend the team meeting. Here are some information what I noticed from the Summit until now: 1. We have a winner of the Community Contributor Award in our team! Congrats Gene Kuo for his work and the award. To read on [1] and [2]. 2. There was a session about translation platform presented by the Zanata team. Thanks also Patrick and Alex for presentation and mention of the I18n team on [3] 3. Petr Kovar has given project update for the docs team. There are also hints for translation services provided by the I18n team. Thx, Petr.
