A release blocking change[1] is adding an exception for a timeout acquiring a connection object from a pool. This string change is meant to help ensure we have clearly communicated the error case. This change has not merged as of the writing of this email but is pending final review. Bringing it to the attention of this list per the wiki [2]. Horizon translation check site

Hi I18N folks, I can have time to setup a new translation check site of Horizon. The URL is unchanged and only the password is changed. http://157.7.133.23:13580/ Username: demo or admin Password: i18n-juno Note that a new machine only has 16GB disk due to VM. Please make sure that only small volume 1~2GB x ~2 can be created. I would like to know who uses the Horizon translation check site in the past and current releases. Hi all. We have some pending patches here: https://review.openstack.org/121842 https://review.openstack.org/121879 https://review.openstack.org/121913 https://review.openstack.org/121957 https://review.openstack.org/121962 https://review.openstack.org/121972 These patches are *needed* to properly handle the translations in all languages, however if we merge them now you will have some extra strings to re-translate before the release. Please give all your feedback to know if you can handle them in the shortcoming, or if we have to wait before merging. A release blocking change[1] is adding a new exception for handling a case where there are multiple SQL configurations in a multi-domain setup. This is a case where the exception makes sense as there are no current exceptions that cover this specific error in enough detail. Bringing it to the attention of this list per the wiki [2]. This [1] changes an error message that was super generic to have more context and is a problem we were seeing in the gate. Since the Nova PTL was one of the +2s on the change I'm assuming he's OK with the change. Bringing it to the attention of this list per the wiki [2]. Hello, We are pleased to release the first draft version of FUEL-CLOUD. FUEL-CLOUD is a collection of commonly used entries for localization of cloud computing related software and docs. Today, Cloud is very new to this world and is an emerging technology to the future. Lots of companies are switching their application to cloud. To understand and reach to various corner of world, it is necessary to made it available in different languages. To make the life of translators and localizer easier, it is necessary to provide a list of commonly used entries from cloud computing with its context. fuel-cloud module is prepared from different cloud technologies so that the module can be used across platform. This module will help to use a particular word precisely in cloud computing. Allow translators to translate BatchActions

Hi all, I reported a bug concerning the way strings where conjugated on action buttons here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/horizon/+bug/1307476 The issue is that automatic conjugation works in English, but may lead the impossibility to have a properly translated string in some languages which have different and more complex conjugation rules. I made a patch to fix this here: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/91338/ However, not all strings are fixed in this patch, only a few ones, and I kept the legacy conjugation method not to brake all existing strings on the action buttons at once. This patch will allow developers to progressively change strings on action buttons per translators request, to strings which can have proper translations. I also added contextual markers on instance actions or status. i.e.: "Shut Down" could be an action to perform, or an instance status, which is the same string in English but different in many languages, this patch allows differentiating them. Could it help to have a test catalog on Transifex based on this patch to have translators feedback on the change brought to the strings? The translators could give feedback to know if translations are improved. Also translators could ask for more strings which they could not translate properly before, to be migrated to this new translating method on action buttons as new (dependent) patches. Also, how fast do translators want all the existing "action buttons" and "status" strings to be migrated to this method? If all are migrated at once we would lose a lot of the currently existing translations on action buttons and status (even though they are not properly translatable) and they would have to be translated again. So adding patches progressively could bring smooth changes. This is where translators feedback would be interesting to know if: - The changes allow translating properly? - They want smooth changes on action buttons to translate progressively, or want a complete fix right now because to many buttons can not be translated properly? - They want changes in other places too where they can not currently translate properly?
