Hi, team The strings of Horizon in Transifex have been updated. A new resource "OpenStack Dashboard Authentication" is added which includes the strings in the login page. Although the string frozen day was passed, there may be string updates in the future. I will have you noticed when the strings are updated. Based on the wiki page "https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Havana_Release_Schedule", Sep 26th is OpenStack RC1 day. So we will make Sep 24 as our deadline of translation work. We will look into Transifex to see which languages are 100% translated and ready to be merged. And then hope we can finish the merge with the help of Horizon team in 2 days. Thus our translations will be released together with RC1. I hope to pick out at least two languages and do the Horizon I18n test, in order to verify the strings in web UI are correctly displayed as its translation. The I18n test should be done as early as possible, in order to save enough time for developers to fix bugs if we can find any. All changes after Havana-3 release are imported into the latest po file. It will be available soon at Transifex since Transifex fetches PO update in the github repo automatically. IMO the date limit Sep 24th is one of the milestone though it is an important milestone. There are many languages so we need to define the milestones. Sep 24th date limit is scheduled so that our translation is a part of Horizon RC1 release. Though the exact release date depends on each project, it is scheduled to release in this month. The important point is that RC1 can become Havana release unless serious bugs are found. We can update after RC1, but I am not sure it can be included in Havana first release (2013.2). There is a possibility it is delayed to the next stable point release (2013.2.1). I believe I18N and Horizon core team (including me) take into account the status of translations and we try to update the translations as much as possible until Havana release. Could you upload 'en' version of Horizon PO files (source lang) to Transifex manually if they are not updated automatically next time you have a chance tocheck it.
According to your information, PO files of the source language will be updated automatically by Transifex but it seems not to be updated after 15 hours the update of PO files were merged into the Horizon master repository on GitHub.
I checked the Transifex documents, but it just says Transifex polls the URL "periodically" and the value of the period is not documented.

Hi Gabriel, This is a good point. AFAIK there is no conclusion at this moment. It needs to be discussed in coming I18N meetings. For languages with a few translators, translation 100% is almost same as reviewed 100% :-) We need to determine whether we will import another translation update before Havana release after hearing the progress of translation. I personally do not want to apply a strict deadline on it. Havana release itself is scheduled at the middle of October, and IMHO we will have enough chance to update the translations :-) I18N is considered as one of the important points in Horizon team, and I can coordinate as possible as I can. Hi, all I think we can discuss this in the our IRC meeting. At the beginning, I hoped "100% translation and 100% reviewed". Then I figured out it was hard because some language teams may have only a few people. "100% translated and 100% reviewed" may be the most strict criteria. "100% translated" may be the medium criteria. Also there should be the loose criteria like only "certain files (for example, js translations?) are 100% translated". We need to set the criteria for merging. About the deadline, I know the release date of RC1 is Sep 26. Whether there are the following RCs depends. So Sep 24 is the deadline to catch the first RC. Thus our translations will be released together with RC1.
I hope to pick out at least two languages and do the Horizon I18n test, in order to verify the strings in web UI are correctly displayed as its translation. The I18n test should be done as early as possible, in order to save enough time for developers to fix bugs if we can find any.
