The OpenStack Technical Committee meets weekly to work through requests for incubation, to review technical issues happening in currently integrated projects, and to represent the technical contributors to OpenStack. We have about a month remaining with our current crew and elections coming soon. Read the summary of latest meetings to find out about defcore, gap analysis and projects in incubation.
DefCore is an OpenStack Foundation Board managed process “that sets base requirements by defining 1) capabilities, 2) code and 3) must-pass tests for all OpenStack™ products. This definition uses community resources and involvement to drive interoperability by creating the minimum standards for products labeled OpenStack™.” Rob Hirschfeld details in a blog post what “community resources and involvement” entails. Check out the upcoming DefCore Community Meetings Sep 10 & Sep 11.
During the Paris Summit there will be a working session for the Women of OpenStack to frame up more defined goals and line out a blueprint for the group moving forward. We encourage all women in the community to complete this very short surveyto provide input for the group.
