[Openstack] controller redundancy

Ahh, OK, I think I know what you're talking about.
You don't really need that network you're referencing since you'll be
providing the gateway services (HA as well if desired) on a device(s)
completely outside of OpenStack. You can mark a new network as
'External' and/or 'Shared' via check boxes if you need on the network
creation/modification window found within 'Admin -> Networks -> <Network
Name> -> Edit Network. The new network will provide the gateway IP you
provide when adding a subnet and that gateway will be on the external
device(s) you setup outisde of OpenStack, not on the controllers.
Bottom line, I know what network you're talking about that chooses the
random VLAN port that's only relevant for this purpose if you're going
to use software networking via the controllers or local compute nodes in
DVR mode for your tenants.
