[Openstack-track-chairs] Guidance on Vendor Specific Presentations?

Hi Deepak,

I agree. I feel we should focus on work/research that has the most impact for the community. Vendor proprietary solutions/closed source isn't generally accessible to the community at large. These talks should be conducted in the vendor area and not in the main conference.

Hi James,

I think we should avoid talk which looks like marketing talk by vendor.. if it is closed source and vendor specific, then lets discourage it.

Deepak

Subject: [Openstack-track-chairs] Guidance on Vendor Specific Presentations?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a 1st time track chair so pardon my ignorance if this question seems obvious. In my initial review for the storage track I see several presentations that are vendor specific and possibly closed source. Should that have any bearing on our evaluations?

Thanks, James.
