Dear all,
In a multi node installation (Essex) when a new "compute node" is configured and  it starts communicating with the "controller node" the service is enabled by default.
There is a way to change the default behaviour to "disabled". In this case the admin needs manually to enable the hosts and services in the "controller node". (nova-manage service enable --host XXXX --service XXXX)
