Thanks Kamélia.
So, %s (and %d, and %(...) ) are special "variable" strings, which will
be substituted by the program when it is running.
For example:
ALLOW %(from)s:%(to)s from %(group)s
might become
ALLOW 22:23 from MySecurityGroup
So, when translating them, you can put the %-variables wherever you need
to in the sentence - you just need to make sure they are unmodified, so
eg %(from)s is found in both the source and translated string.
does that make sense?
