Hi Daisy and all,
Does anyone know the status of syncing Horizon Transifex with the
upstream Horizon repository?
What I would like to know is what is automated and what is not.
We need to sync Horizon translations up-to-date for Havana release,
so I would like to confirm what we need to do manually.
Information about ongoing work is appreciated too.
The syncing job can be break down into the following steps:
(a) Source language update (git repo -> Transifex)
(a-1) Update PO/MO file of the source lang in git repo
(a-2) Upload PO file of the source lang to Transifex if there is an
update in (a-1)
(b) Translation import (Transifex -> git repo (via gerrit review))
(b-1) Download PO file from Transifex
(b-2) Propose to update PO file to gerrit
(b-3) Review the update and merge into the repo (<--- normal review process)
Note that we need a discussion what translations (reviewed only or all items)
should be import in (b-1) to ensure the quality of translations.
Thanks,
Akihiro
