Around inception of the installation guide networking updates project, the neutron developers decided to replace the Open vSwitch (OVS) plug-in with the Modular Layer 2 (ML2) plug-in in Icehouse. However, issues with the migration process from OVS to ML2 apparently reverted this decision late in the development cycle. According to the blueprint, RC1 includes the first rendition of the migration process: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/neutron/+spec/ml2-deprecated-plugin-migration Given proximity to the final release date, shall we support both OVS and ML2 in the installation guide and reconsider removing OVS in Juno?
