If you just want to improve the wording - and that's your intention here
AFAIU - then just go ahead and change it. It's a wiki that everybody can
change.

But if you like to change a policy, let's discuss it first.

Adding a link to the page GitCommitMessages is a good idea. Just one
hint: a wiki link is written as [[GitCommitMessages]] or
[[GitCommitMessages|info about link]].
