I think working on supporting more distributed clouds is worthwhile
because the technology would enable a lot of new use cases. Centering
the discussion on the Telco industry's specific vCPEs use case is
unnecessarily limiting...

Agreed that a bottom-up, incremental improvement strategy sounds more
likely to succeed in an established project like OpenStack (compared to
a big-bang top-bottom re-architecture).
