Hi all, As you know, we've been working toward moving some code to ironic-lib[0] to be consumed by both Ironic and ironic-python-agent. Today I've created a new Launchpad project[1] for ironic-lib, as the managed release process requires a separate Launchpad for each deliverable. I've also submitted, and Doug has approved, the initial 0.1.0 release of ironic-lib.[2] It should hit PyPI soon(TM). I've proposed the global-requirements patch[3] that will allow us to use this library in Ironic. The DepFreeze[4] begins sometime this week (likely Thursday) and so we won't be able to make or pick up new ironic-lib releases, in general, until that is over. As such, I propose that we don't land any patches in Ironic that depend on ironic-lib until after the DepFreeze. It will be difficult to pick up bug fixes to ironic-lib during the freeze, and I don't want to get stuck if we find some. Questions/comments/concerns welcome. :) // jim [0] http://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/ironic-lib/ [1] https://launchpad.net/ironic-lib [2] https://review.openstack.org/#/c/218985/ [3] https://review.openstack.org/#/c/219011/ [4] https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/DepFreeze
