Hi, My Name is Keshava who was talking about using IGP to learn VM prefix and advertise to have reachability within the cloud in the last Atlanta summit. Instead of running BGP below are the thoughts to use OSPF routing protocol which support hierarchical network design also. Here are my thoughts about the same. 1. OSPF will be running in each of the Nodes under that TOR/switch for a particular Area. 2. Tennant VM prefix needs to added as static route 3. Each of the Nodes will form adjacency with each other in that area. a. If it is broadcast network then of the OSPF router will become 'Designated router/DR' on behalf all others in that area . 4. L-1 switch/Nodes acting as Area-border router ( ABR) will connect to L2-switch which is Area-0. This will help for Route-aggregation, Avoid flooding of routes if any Node is going down. If any of the Node/Router is of higher/low capacity it is possible to say 'forwarding option to other router' for egress traffic. Let us know peoples opinion about the same.
