As a deployer we've been running bonding through OVS in balance-tcp mode
with lacp_time set to fast in production for around six months without any
problems.

We certainly like the flexibility of using OVS for bonding and haven't seen
any issues like those you've mentioned. Then again, our deployment is
considerably smaller and we're using Arista 10G switches.
