unable to login to Zanata
Hello, When I try to login to production Zanata I get forwarded to openstackID first then to Zanata profile creation page. This page tells me that my username/email are already in use. I've never used production Zanata before but I did use 'dev' version. I guess my profile was migrated from dev but never associated with openstackID (or something like that) Could someone help me out with this please? Thank you. -- BR Nikita
Hi Nikita, Can you tell me your username and email? Regards, KATO Tomoyuki

Hi infra team, Can we check the status of the id "nburtsev"? I'm not sure why account does not link to the OpenStack ID. Thanks, KATO Tomoyuki

The OpenStackId service is simply authenticating with your account for https://www.openstack.org/ so if you don't have an account there you may need to create one first. I'll defer to the admins who were directly involved in the account migration process from translate-dev for (probably) more useful suggestions. -- Jeremy Stanley

So, you definitely have a nburtsev user associated with your gmail email address, and it shows that account was last changed today (2016-03-28 06:16:46), were you able to log in after all? If you're still having trouble, my second question is a follow-up to Jeremy's, if you have an OpenStackID, is it using the same email address (the gmail address you sent this mail with)? -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2
I still get redirected to profile creation page that reports my username/email being taken after I login with OpenStackID. Tried different browsers and cleaned cache/cookies to be sure. And yes this gmail is primary email address for my OpenStackID. -- BR Nikita On Mon, Mar 28, 2016 at 7:59 PM, Elizabeth K. Joseph <lyz@princessleia.com> wrote:

I thought we may be able to easily fix things by deleting the account that was migrated over from -dev and have you start over, but when I tried this I got an error: "This user cannot be removed from the system. You can deactivate the user instead" So I'm going to touch base with the Zanata team folks to see if they have any thoughts as to the problem or debugging method, and whether this is something that could have possibly been related when we used the migration script (though it all should have been pretty straight forward). Carlos, Alex, I've included you on this thread, any thoughts? -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2
If user can't be deleted from Zanata, that means the username is attached to some entity in the system, e.g. translations. Nikita, After login from Openstack OpenId, you mentioned you got redirected to profile creation page. Can you create your profile there? What error message you've got? Hi, Yeah I guess I do have translations and what not attached to my account if it was migrated from dev environment. I am unable to create profile with "This username/email is already taken" errors. I've attached the error screen. -- BR Nikita On Tue, Mar 29, 2016 at 12:42 AM, Alex Eng <aeng@redhat.com> wrote:

Elizabeth, Can you run a sql command in the Zanata database? `select * from HCredentials` ? All fixed up. The problem was that the OpenID URL for openstackid had changed for Nikita, so it didn't match what was in the HCredentials table of the database. I was able to update the database directly to match Nikita's new openstackid OpenID URL. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2
Thanks for the investigation and fix Lyz and Alex. I guess one question I have is whether this open id change is a common occurrence? Carlos. Carlos A. I really hope not, but now I'm somewhat worried it could be Something That Happens. I'll check with the openstackid folks and try to find a better answer. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2
