[tc] Presence at OpenDev Vancouver in June
Hello, I am filling the survey for the room booking during the OpenDev summit in Vancouver. Do you already know if you will attend, this way we have a first guesstimate of the attendance? Can you answer it here by Thursday, please? FYI: I thought of booking for min 1.5 days, maximum time 2 days, as last time we finished the marathon in two days. For the room format, I like the roundtable (was wondering to add extra seats next to the roundtable for people joining), however it's only around 10 persons per table, which won't be enough for us all if everyone attends. Regards, JP

I'm working on finding budget before I can confirm with you and I can only get the answer one month before the event.

I think 2 day sounds ideal

The same old question, will it possible if we adding chairs if we need it?

Allow me to clarify my ideas here... (Sorry for any confusion created by my poor english wording this morning). I am not asking here for a committment to go, but instead I am asking to know who of you (anyone, not only tc members!) intend to join us or tc-members who already know they won't be able to join. That's what I meant by "a guesstimate" :) Sorry for the inconvenience... Regards, Jean-Philippe Evrard (evrardjp)

I shall be around for most of it. -- Thierry

I fully expect to be there, and will be splitting my time between TC and neutron activities. Thanks, Nate

I will join. But seems 2 days might be a little long but depends on topics we want to discuss. Along with TC room, I need to be at QA, Nova and a few more projects at runtime so hoping for no conflict in schedule. -gmann

JP, I plan to be there so please count me. I like the round table format with people around us if we can make that work. Thanks! Jay

I'm planning to be at event, spread thin as always, but would like the opportunity to sit in on some TC discussions (depending on what other schedule conflicts I have). I don't currently occupy a seat on the TC, of course, but you did clarify you wanted to know who was interested regardless of committee membership. -- Jeremy Stanley
I'll be there, but also spread thin, like Jeremy. -Kendall (diablo_rojo) On Tue, Feb 25, 2020 at 8:39 AM Jeremy Stanley <fungi@yuggoth.org> wrote:

Not sure what are the benefits on combining UC and TC. I think the real issue is that as community shrunk from several years back, we need to adjust what UC , TC and overall community can deliver. Adjusting the scope. But UC and TC are engaged in governing different activities. And while two Cs are part of larger openstack community as the whole, and many folks work in both U and T communities of openstack they do have different goals and represent different aspects of overall openstack community. I think reducing C sizes, and deliverables makes sense, why they should be combined still eludes me. Do agree that hardwiring UC size into bylaws was a mistake.
