Hello, To address the Octavia and Cinder backend mismatch, I'm going to temporarily create a Cinder backend stretched across all three AZs. Now I have another question: is it possible to use Octavia AZs to set up an active/standby load balancer so that the active load balancer is on one AZ and the standby load balancer is on another one ? Of course, the network is stretched across all three AZs, so the VRRP mechanism is possible. Vincent
Splitting amphoras/amphorae across different AZs is not implemented yet AFAIK. I think they are going to discuss it in the next Octavia PTG. I see that Tobias added a similar topic in the PTG's agenda https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/apr2025-ptg-octavia. On Thu, Apr 3, 2025 at 2:51 PM Vincent Godin <vince.mlist@gmail.com> wrote:

Correct, splitting a load balancer across AZs is not yet implemented in Octavia. Michael On Fri, Apr 4, 2025 at 4:16 AM Omer Schwartz <oschwart@redhat.com> wrote:
