There is nothing specific about RDP vs SSH. It's all TCP in the end.
I would validate :
- Check the security groups to make sure the ports are correct. - tcpdump at the compute, vm, network level to see the traffic. - try RDP locally in the subnet to see if it's enabled on the destination box.

I can ssh into instances after attributing floating ips but whenever I try to access using remote desktop I fail, although I've enabled RDP traffic in security groups, is there a problem with my configuration or do I have to do extra work to successfully do a remote access.
