Hi everyone,

Thank you for volunteering to serve as a Track Chair for the October OpenStack Summit in Barcelona!

You can now view your fellow track chairs on the etherpad:
https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/r.764d79fb8fcd663f862735f621542f2c <https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/r.764d79fb8fcd663f862735f621542f2c>
Please mark your calendars now and plan to participate in the two-part process:

PART ONE: July 20-24
You will be given access to the track chair tool and asked to review sessions before community voting opens to flag any talks that are in the wrong track and need to be moved into a different track. You will have five days to complete this step. Community voting will be open July 26th-August 8th.

PART TWO: August 10-21st
After community voting closes you will again be given access to the track chair tool to stack rank the talks within your track and collaborate will your fellow track chairs to make a final team selection. You will have a week and a half to complete this step.

Full Timeline:
July 18 at 8am PT- Track Chair Onboarding Webinar: https://zoom.us/j/5495195296 (cal invite to follow)
July 20-24: Track Chairs review submissions and potentially move sessions to other tracks if they are a better fit BEFORE community voting begins
July 26-August 8: Session voting open to the community
August 10-21: Track Chairs receive and review proposals and discuss choices
August 21: Track Chairs submit final session selections via administrative tool
August 25: Foundation staff notifies all submitters whether or not their session was accepted into the final Summit agenda
August 25: Breakout session agenda published

On Monday, July 18th we will be hosting an informational webinar to answer any questions and guide you through the Track Chair Tool. A calendar invite will follow this email, and a recording will be made available afterwards for those unable to join. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to me directly at erin at openstack.org <mailto:erin at openstack.org>.

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance, looking forward to working with everyone!

Cheers,
Erin
