Open Stack

Hi,

I would like to start working on my application for Outreachy and I’m quite new to FOSS and really could use some guidance on the process and “proper etiquette” of contributing.

I’m very interested in data processing/big data aspect of the OpenStack, but both of the mentors from Sahara no longer take applicants. Is there still a possibility of another project opening? I worked quite a bit Python, both SQL and NoSQL databases and have solid knowledge of networking, but I would be more than happy to get familiar wider spectrum of technologies.

I’m having hard time finding out who and how to approach about the mentorship, so if you know of someone who could be a match, please let me know. I’m ready to start working right away.
