Hi Irene,

              Thanks for answering my query.

              If I am integrating devstack with ODL for virtual networks, I will do the below configs in the local.conf file,
Q_PLUGIN=ml2
Q_ML2_TENANT_NETWORK_TYPE=vxlan
Q_ML2_PLUGIN_MECHANISM_DRIVERS=opendaylight,logger
enable_plugin networking-odl https://github.com/openstack/networking-odl stable/kilo

              If I am integrating devstack with ODL for HWVTEP feature, I will be using L2 gateway feature in openstack. I am also aware that the L2 gateway feature for HWVTEP is not merged.
What are the required configurations in local.conf, apart from the below ones?

                                    enable_plugin networking-l2gw https://github.com/openstack/networking-l2gw <branch>
enable_service l2gw-plugin l2gw-agent

Regards,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
From looking at the diagram and being familiar with the L2GW API implementation, my understanding is that Service Plugin ODL Driver is not part of ML2
plugin. If L2GW service is enabled, it will use L2GW Service Plugin ODL Driver to proxy the L2GW details to the ODL Controller.
NL2 Plugin will use ODL ML2 Driver to support the regular L2 networking stuff.

BR,
Irena

Hi All,
              I have a query on the below block diagram for L2 GW integration with ODL for hardware VTEP. Is the service plugin ODL driver part of ML2 plugin ?
              My understanding is service plugin ODL driver is not part of ML2 driver. Please correct me if I am wrong.
