Given that meatspace mid-cycle events are listed at
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Sprints#Liberty_sprints and the
VirtualSprints article is linked from the top of that page, it seems
entirely appropriate.

Though you might still consider use of the #openstack-sprint channel
if it's not already overbooked. It's a way to separate the tasks
specific to your mid-cycle from the normal goings-on of
#openstack-dev or your team channel and could lead to better focus.
Entirely optional though! I don't expect the features of a virtual
sprint as they're listed on that page are intended to be
proscriptive, just descriptive of the virtual sprints we've had so
far as a community.
