Thanks, Tong. Tamara (from our production company FNtech) and I will be in the meeting tomorrow to cover a few logistics and answer questions.

The interop challenge segment will take place at approximately 9:30 am CET during the keynotes on Wednesday, October 26. We have 16 inputs for the demo and are currently planning to have the following people on stage:

  1. Mark Baker, Canonical
  2. Rohm Agarwalla, Cisco
  3. Dror Gensler, Fujitsu
  4. Ghe Rivero, HPE
  5. Zhenyu Zheng, Huawei
  6. Daniela Ebert, DT
  7. Tong Li, IBM
  8. Gema Gomez, Linaro
  9. ??, Mirantis
  10. Luz Cazares, OSIC
  11. ??, OVH
  12. Egle Sigler, Rackspace
  13. Daniel Mellado, Red Hat
  14. ??, SUSE
  15. Mark Voelker, VMware
  16. Stefano Maffulli, DreamHost

We need the final list of names by FRIDAY, because we are going to update the agenda and build a slide to recognize participants. We’re also going to produce logo clings for laptops, which will be visible to the audience during the demo, and we are planning to name the participating organizations in a press release on Tuesday the 26th. If you are participating and your name / company name does not appear on this list, I need to know immediately :)

To provide a quick overview of the setup, we will have one or two long tables, and all participants will set up in a line across the stage. Jonathan and Brad Topol will kick off the segment and all of the participants will immediately start building their LAMP application. Jonathan and Brad will then talk through a handful of slides about the challenge and what’s happening, and then start walking around and engaging with “contestants" in a gameshow format. When they talk to one of the participants, the person’s screen will be displayed to highlight OpenStack capabilities and milestones of the build. We will talk through and refine the flow at the on-site rehearsals in Barcelona.

The primary requirement for participants is to attend two rehearsals in Barcelona prior to the keynote. Please note if you are unable to attend rehearsal, you will need to identify another person in your organization who can rehearse and participate in the live interop challenge. Please take a look at the details in this etherpad and add your information:

https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/interop-challenge-participant-info

Again, Tamara and I will be in the meeting tomorrow to answer any questions, but we wanted you to have all the information via email.

Thank you!! We are very excited to feature the interop challenge in Barcelona and appreciate all of your work!
