As a member of the Intel's Open-Source Technology Center (OTC), join our open source efforts to support the applications of today and the rising demands of tomorrow from Big Data, the Internet-of-Things, and verticals such as enterprise data centers and Telecommunications.
You will be working on OpenStack (http://www.openstack.org/) development, a rapidly moving effort, with thousands of members from across industry, to deliver clouds that are easy to deploy, manage, and meet the performance and security needs of today and tomorrow.
We also work on OpenDayLight (http://www.opendaylight.org/), an open platform for network programmability to support Software Defined Networking (SDN), and create a solid foundation for network function virtualization (NFV).
At Intel you get to work with Software, Hardware, Storage, Networking, and Security experts across business groups and collaborate across the industry. Through software make Intel hardware the platform of choice and guide the next generation of hardware features from your experience.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job and/or research experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have a BS degree or a MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical discipline. At the BS level only, must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
Candidates should have at least 6+ months of work and/or educational experience/research with:
-Python, Java, and/or C/C++
-Software prototyping and debug skills
-Experience with one or more of OpenStack, Xen, KVM, QEMU, Open VSwitch
-System administration, virtualization, networking
Preferred Qualifications
-Open Source development experience
