At the meeting Wednesday as we were discussing the nature of multi-cloud/regions and how actual OpenSTack installations are currently coordinating across their regions, there was a request for more information about the eCOMP platform. http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/meetings/massively_distributed_clouds/2017/massively_distributed_clouds.2017-02-15-15.00.html I took the action item to find more info and hopefully bring more knowledgeable architect to the next session of Massively Distributed WG on March 1. https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/massively_distributed_ircmeetings_2017 In terms of more information in advance: 1. eComp is in production at AT&T and in trial in a few other companies. 2. The OpenSource effort is not yet finished, but well along (code cleaned and submitted under Linux Foundation) 3. Recent announcement and very high level video introduction can be found here: http://www.lightreading.com/open-source/ecomp-open-source-nfv-sdn-automation/v/d-id/730395 4. White paper with a little more detail is here: http://about.att.com/content/dam/snrdocs/ecomp.pdf -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
