We have our call for booth presentations out now:
Please send me ideas you might have for content for the IU booth at SC16 in Salt Lake City. The booth will have a brand new look with kiosks for presenters as well as a central presentation space. http://sc16.supercomputing.org/ <http://sc16.supercomputing.org/>
We are looking for demos/short presentations which could happen throughout the Exhibit Hall hours as well as presentations (think 20-30 minutes) which could happen in the large presentation area.
Demonstrations must be set-up prior to booth opening, and preferably hours, if not a day, in advance.
Booth hours:
Monday, November 14, 7-9pm
Tuesday, November 15, 10am-6pm
Wednesday, November 16, 10am-6pm
Thursday, November 17, 10am-3pm
To have your topic considered for presentation in the booth, send me the following by August 1:
Topic
Type of presentation (self-sustaining demo, hands-on demo, demo/short presentation throughout exhibit hall hours, or full presentation)
Point person
As SC draws nearer, and once we decide on what topics will be presented, we will request the following:
Short Abstract
Presenter's name(s)
Booth schedule for presenter(s)
Presenter(s) contact information while in Salt Lake City

One item covered was how WG members who work at organisations with booth space on the conference floor might be able to host some OpenStack-specific content at their booth. Happily it seems that there are some contributors who may able to do this, and perhaps there are some beyond the WG who might be interested too.
