One proposed agenda item for the next app ecosystem wg meeting (or for discussion on this list):

Foundation staff are working on the 2015 industry events plan, and we are interested in attending or sponsoring 1-2 more app dev oriented events. We’d love to get some event recommendations and potentially volunteers from this working group to help prepare content and participate in the event. 

Based on the ideas I heard during the working group session in Paris, I think we should target events during the second half of the year. That way we can use the first half to work on content/documentation and the reference app, which we can then showcase and talk about at the events post-Vancouver Summit. 

Additionally, we have sponsored events like PyCon NA and spoken at events like DEVIEW the last two years, and have an opportunity to bring more materials and “calls to action” for the application ecosystem audience. 

Any input or ideas welcome! We don’t want to spread ourselves too thin, but I think picking 1-2 app dev events to focus on this year would be a good goal. We are scheduling a marketing community meeting mid-December to run through and get feedback on the 2015 plan, so we’d like to identify and look into a few events by that time.
