Carol,
most of is on the product wg and/or enterprise group are already on the user committee ml. we would just send out emails on the mls we want to deprecate telling folks to join the community list and how. we can also send to both mls for a while and maybe we can or the move notice into the old ml messages as a reminder.
sound reasonable?

Kenny – You raise a good point. I think the reasons behind the Enterprise WG and Product WG are historical and don’t prohibit us from making changes. I think more visibility across all of the UC Work Groups of discussion threads is a good thing.
Is there a reason not to use the user committee mail list?
Do you know how would we migrate the members of these WG-specific mail lists to whatever one we decide to use?
Thanks
Carol

Subject: [Enterprise] User Committee Mailing List Usage
There seems to be mixed usage of mailing lists within UC groups with some running their own independent mailing list (Enterprise, Product Work Group) and others using the [GROUP] structure in the subject line to the user-committee list.
Given the [openstack-dev] list benefits of shared information would it be possible to create an [openstack-user] list and migrate the Enterprise, Product Work Group and non-UC specific conversations there? We could leave it up to the teams on if they choose to migrate.
Please educate me if this has been discussed before my time. :)
Thanks!
