Hello Erhan, I have changed both values as you declared both on
compute and instance node and will now monitor if the lock-ups will
occur again.

In the meantime: the kernel on the compute node is 3.11.0-19-generic
and on the instance node there is: 3.18.1-031801-generic.

I will report back with the results.
