We are planning to go for ceph in next coming days. That time we use shared storage.

Keep in mind if you are using libvirt then you basically have to share root ssh keys between hosts.  If you need some kind of shared file system, you can always download and install ceph and cephFS.

I had a client where we moved a few vm and it did work ok but you need to do a few config changes. Not sure which env you are using.
