Chris,

Thank you very much… I will join the channel right away..

There last error ironic threw was
Failed to tear down. Error: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/tftpboot/master_images'

I had removed the entire tftpboot directory and replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately nova was still trying to deploy the node in question.

Regards,

Robert

Robert,
The lock can be cleared by nulling the reservation field in the "node" database for that node. However my first thought is what caused it to lock. Is there a last error set for the node? Does Ironic report a valid power state for the node?

I welcome you to join the #openstack-ironic IRC channel if you have more questions or would like quicker help troubleshooting this.

Chis

While troubleshooting some pxe boot issues with ironic, I removed the tftpboot directory and this caused a problem with ironic. Now I have a node that is locked and I cannot clear the lock, nor can I do any operation on this node.

I get the following error.
Node 770b0e7b-a426-49ee-ad72-1abe4ca76aa8 is locked by host , please retry after the current operation is completed.

Does anyone know how to remove a lock on a node?

Thanks in advance,

Robert
