You can run sharepoint on top of OpenStack in a Windows VM… they are not really equivalent products. OpenStack fits more into the SCVMM area rather than Sharepoint. We installed Confluence within OpenStack and hooked it into AD, which means you could still use AD for users/groups. Atlassian has a lot of products that are competing with Microsoft.
