[Openstack] Cinder error - No portal found

Hallo John,
Thanks for sharing the URL. I was able to get rid of the volume issue that I had before by changing the <iscsi IP address flag> from the SAN disk to the controller. Now, I am able to attach / detach a volume to / from a VM without any problems.
Best regards,
Krishnaprasad

Hi,
I configured the cinder and nova to use the management IP address and now I could see in the GUI the status of the volume is changing to "Attaching". But after a while it came back to "Available". In the compute log, I am still seeing the same error "Stderr: iscsiadmNo portal found"
I am able to see the created volume on the compute node but it is not getting attached to the instance. Can anybody guide me to resolve this problem?
Regards,
Krishnaprasad

Hi
Thanks for your reply. The IP that I have set refers to one of the interfaces rather the management IP address. Can I know is there a way to obtain the management IP using the iSCSI commands?
Regards,
Krishnaprasad

Suspect an issue with your config files, particularly the "-p <iSCSI IP>:3260 in your trace is a problem. Verify your scsi_ip_address settings in cinder.conf and nova.conf
