When I change the nameserver to my internal network server, ping is showing a single line with IP. But following it, no other output.

--------------
$ ping google.com
PING google.com (74.125.236.206): 56 data bytes

Hi Kumar,
I think you need set nameserver to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or other valid DNS at /etc/resolv.conf, besides you need to reset nameserver at your OpenStack's internal network or other places.
8.8.8.7 is a typo, right?

Ping is not working with these nameservers.

-------------
$ nslookup google.com<http://google.com>
Server:    8.8.8.7
Address 1: 8.8.8.7

nslookup: can't resolve 'google.com<http://google.com>'

Hi Kumar,
Please check the vm's /etc/resolv.conf and try to ping 8.8.8.8.
Hope it helps.

Hi,

Can you please check if the nameservers provided while creating subnet are correct?

Regards,

Subject: [Openstack] unable to ping google.com<http://google.com>

Hi All,

I have installed openstack Havana on three nodes.
I am able to boot a cirrOS image. When I log into the VM, I am unable to ping outside network.
-------------
$ ping google.com<http://google.com>
ping: bad address 'google.com<http://google.com>'
$
---------------------

What could be the reason ?

Thanks
Kumar
