Hi,

while setting up RDO version of OpenStack I've had some issues (see
thread "struggling with neutron inside VM" ) and one suggestion I came
across (
http://openstack.redhat.com/Workarounds#nova:_instances_started_in_error_state
) was to modify nova.conf to include:

vif_plugging_is_fatal: false
vif_plugging_timeout: 0

while this workaround helped so far, I would like to know what are the
downsides to above workaround? I've spun up sample instances so far
and was able to connect using namespaces etc. Am I laying down a
garden rake just to walk over it later?
