[Openstack] [nova] No valid host found

from the exception we know an argument is not supported by python guestfs
,, I tested this in ubuntu 13.10, it works well,

ii  libguestfs0:amd64                         1:1.22.4-1ubuntu1
                    amd64        guest disk image management system -
shared library
ii  python-guestfs                            1:1.22.4-1ubuntu1
                    amd64        guest disk image management system -
Python bindings

you can try to upgrade the related packages.
