[Openstack] Host Stable OS for Controller and Compute

I was thinking ubuntu 14.04, centos 6.4, as suggested by openstack documentation. 
I wanted to know developers/user exp in installing openstack, As I have tried fedora20 seems bit tricky also it maybe so that my little knowledge about openstack.
