Hi All,

Some Tricky questions I ask help for (email 2 of 3):

(please refer to a scenario with Openstack+Quantum, so we can have complex networks)

Nova Compute
Are booted VMs independent by other nova/quantum services?
I mean: when a VM is already booted does it need in any case to dialog with other nova/quantum services (apart from nova compute) like quantum, the quantum plugin agent, the keystone etc etc???
For example and in other words: when a VM is running might I turn off the quantum server (or even physically disconnect the dedicated server itself? )?

Because...it this is NOT possible this means that the various servers (for example the quantum) are involved during the whole lifecycle of a VM.....could this be a bottleneck?, something to take in count for high availability and performance?

Thanks in advance for any help

Best Regards

Marco
