HI Mridhul Was it working fine earlier ? If yes, looks like you changed some configuration and it has some wrong entry or spaces etc. 1. Your nova must be respawning too frequently. Can you look at the /var/log/message or /var/log/syslog ? Check your nova.conf. May be you take nova.conf from working system and see if it works. 2. Do you see file in /var/run/nova.pid ? or search for nova.pid file in your system(find . -name nova.pid -print) -Dheerendra On Tue, Nov 26, 2013 at 3:05 PM, Jitendra Kumar Bhaskar < jitendra.b at pramati.com> wrote: > Hi Mridul, > Can you please update openstack release and nova-api.log ? > > Regards > *Jitendra Bhaskar* > > > > > > > On Tue, Nov 26, 2013 at 12:46 PM, Mridhul Pax <mridhul at live.com> wrote: > >> Hi All, >> >> We have restarted our controller node and we are now getting the >> following error and openstack infrastructure is down >> >> *openstack-nova-api dead but pid file exists* >> >> >> *Any idea ?* >> >> Regards >> Mridhul >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Mailing list: >> http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack >> Post to : openstack at lists.openstack.org >> Unsubscribe : >> http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack >> >> > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list: > http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack > Post to : openstack at lists.openstack.org > Unsubscribe : > http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
