Is there a method to do a basic service status check for OpenStack components ? I'd like to able to validate that the daemons are able to handle an unauthenticated request from a monitoring script. This is somewhat equivalent to a network level ping or nagios probe, i.e. validate that there is something on the other end of the pipe. I want to avoid having to handle credentials if possible (so running image-list is not an option) Currently, curl to the service URL just gives 401 error. Any ideas ?
