I follow the link you mentioned
but I got the following error
Media change: please insert the disc labeled
 'Ubuntu 12.04 LTS _Precise Pangolin_ - Release i386 (20120423)'
in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter


the steps I followed are:

pragya at pragya-Aspire-5742:~$ sudo
su - 
[sudo] password for pragya: 
root at pragya-Aspire-5742:~# apt-get
install swift openssh-server rsync memcached python-netifaces
python-xattr python-memcache

root at pragya-Aspire-5742:~# mkdir
-p /etc/swift 
root at pragya-Aspire-5742:~# chown
-R swift:swift /etc/swift/ 
root at pragya-Aspire-5742:~# apt-get
install python-software-properties

root at pragya-Aspire-5742:~# apt-get
update && apt-get dist-upgrade 
http://paste.openstack.org/show/54341/
