Right now, there is no appropriate or acceptable way to consume notifications. Plainly, while notifications exist, they shouldn't be considered stable or even usable until this exists.
Message formats and versioning should be a consideration in the effort to create a reusable consumption pattern.
This will be part of what is covered during the "Using the message bus for messages" session Tuesday afternoon at the summit.
