Would this also be applicable to the ephemeral instance storage?

Since I'm guessing not,  at least not generically, are there any plans
on some sort of parity between volumes and ephemeral storage?
(But then again, given the discussions about boot-from-volume, maybe
I'm guessing wrong...)
