This is a work in progress still:

http://etherpad.openstack.org/openstack-xen

I still need to test and make reference to the RPM that includes the
xapi plugins that get installed on the XCP/XenServer dom0.

Lots of other details to include as well. Including your question below.

OpenStack is not yet aware of XCP/XenServer pools yet, so you will
need a compute node per XenServer/XCP instance. The code is moving
fast though (both from the XenAPI/XCP/XenServer side and the OpenStack
side), so be sure to check on the current status.

As for the best way to go in general, I'd say to work with the Diablo
code and the newest available version of XCP/XenServer.

The problem with the XenSeverDevelopment wiki page is that it is meant
for developers and pulls from trunk. While this works fine it can tend
to be a bit unstable. The concepts from it will apply to a Diablo
release of OpenStack fine. And although untested the xapi RPM
referenced above will save you from having to get a copy of trunk and
manually copy in the plugins.

It is high priority for me to finish this documentation and testing
before the summit. Until then, do not hesitate to reach out to me and
the list with questions.

Thanks,
Todd
