I am using ext4 instead of xfs. After remounting with extended user
attributes, I was able to upload my files.

# mount -o remount,user_xattr -t ext4 /dev/sda3  /srv/node/sda3


# swift -A https://$PROXY_LOCAL_NET_IP:8080/auth/v1.0 -U system:root -K
testpass upload myfiles small.txt
small.txt
# swift -A https://$PROXY_LOCAL_NET_IP:8080/auth/v1.0 -U system:root -K
