Yes, I am a Chinese. It's very nice to meet you. I am now working and living in Beijing. The Internet speed is still very slow, like or even slow than a snail.
Yes, I agree your opinion, It is quite difficult for our open sourse developers in Mainland.

By the way, are you now living in china, and can you speak chinese, If so, I think we can talk in Chinese, and I think it will be more confortable for me:)

O, I have solve the proxy problem, but the problem that I can not build Nova correctly is still unsolved.

seeing your name, which seems to be in traditional
Chinese, I am guessing that you must be in Taiwan.
Am I right?

If so, you might have missed the point that
launchpad.net is almost unreachable from mainland.

Lucky, I have servers everywhere to use as bouncers,
and I live in Shanghai with ChinaNet. But for people
in the center of China, it's hell.

I tried to upgrade one Ubuntu computer, and the
fastest speed I could get was 5KB/s, even trying
many mirrors in China!

For sure, that and (as you can see) the language
barrier is a big issue for open source development
in mainland.
