Hi all,
I just took a snapshot-point-in-time of the topics we brainstormed at
https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/juno-tc-board-meeting-ideas. Feel free to
add topics on the Etherpad.
What are things we'd like to discuss with the board at the Juno summit?
Note that these are just ideas, and not ranked in priority order.
Board / TC communication
How board and TC engage with each other
Quick history of TC (TC knows about board, but board doesn't know that much
about TC)
The year of the user
How can users (deployers) and users (app developers) better interact in the
community with our current governance structure? (Programs, projects)
How about ways or programs to recognize people for their "contributions" to
the OpenStack project and community (+1, see above)
Anything we can do to better channel the feedback from the user committee -
or anything in the area of user groups?
Defcore / Trademark issues
DefCore
how TC and board can collaborate to break down and work together
is the current direction of defcore the right one to begin with
Project naming rules and process
when can we use OpenStack?
when do projects need to engage the board for codenames?

Foundation / Company Resources
Any foundation resources we'd like to request?
budget available for immediate increase in cloud resource capacity for
testing if we have needs beyond what is being donated at times?
does the TC have ideas on events that the foundation should be attending /
supporting that we are currently not?
OpenStack Foundation infrastructure and the infra program
Can we get member companies to encourage their developers to attend events
(I'm thinking cores who don't make it to the summit here mostly)
Feedback on the travel support program
Foundation Bylaws / Legal requirements
Brief feedback from technical community on the individual director election
process
Similarly - technical communities desire to not have bylaws changes held up
by quorum requirement with huge membership
Do we really need a CLA?

Other
Diversity
in what sense?
and what's the discussion, brainstorm on how to measure and improve?
Asking about diversity based on the question we got at the Meet the TC
Panel, "here we are in China, yet there is no Asian on the stage. What can
you do to improve the situation?"

That's arguably a TC-internal issue, though. How can the board help ?
