Between IRC logs, mailing list archives, and the git history on that
repository performing any sort of archaeology on the history of a
given item in the checklist can be challenging. I like the idea of
having both the "what" and "why" clearly designated somehow inline. I
will -1 any change that includes the word "whereas" though. :-)
